Local move is a move that takes place within a 100-mile radius and stays within the state of origin. Many factors determine the cost of a local move. Luckily, many of those factors are within your control. For example, how ready are you when the movers arrive? Are all your belongings packed in boxes? Can the truck park close to your home? Any hard to move items? How much packing, unpacking and furniture placement would you like the movers to do for you?

The more information you provide your mover prior to your move date, the better your chances are of having a smooth move within your budget.

The cost for local moves is based on the number of movers, the time it takes to move your belongings and the drive time between your old and new residence. The chart below will help you get an idea of how many hours and movers it may take for your move.

Long Distance

A long distance move is a move that is greater than 100-miles from the origin and/or the move crosses a state line. Two factors determine the major portion of the cost of your move. They are the distance you are moving and the weight of your shipment.

The cost of an international move is determined by the volume of your shipment which is measured by either cubic feet or weight depending on the final destination of your international move. Factors which will affect the total cost of your international move include: packing services for your belongings, your choice of cargo insurance while your shipment is in transport, whether or not you will need any storage services, an exclusive container for your shipment or the consolidation of your smaller shipment with other overseas customers' shipments.

In the event you are unable to immediately take occupancy of your new residence, arrangements" can be made to safely store your household goods in our modern, 10,000 square feet warehouse. Our warehouse facility is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The warehouse is clean, sanitized, and contains flow through ventilation system for those hot and humid days. Heating is provided in the winter months to ensure the best environment to safely store your most precious belongings.

At V.l.P. Relocation you will receive a free month of storage when you require 3 months or more! Your household goods are carefully wrapped in soft, quilted warehouse pads to safeguard against damage. Each storage shipment is carefully checked-in by our warehouse staff, and again upon delivery-out to make certain that you receive all your belongings.

V.I.P. Relocation are not a mini-storage facility. In the event you need to gain access to your stored goods, you need to contact operations to arrange a day and time. There is an access charge applied to this service. Our warehouse staff will assist you in receiving those items you wish to remove from storage.

V.I.P. Relocation offer professional packing services for your convenience. The cost of these services is contained within your quoted hourly rate plus the cost for packing supply.

Your sales representative will inform you of the price and correct usage of the various cartons required for your relocation. In the event you prefer to complete packing yourself, we offer competitive pricing for packing materials.

Upon the purchase of packing materials we offer a free cartons delivery to our valued customers. However, payment for these materials is required at the time of delivery. Please note that cartons sealed and packed by persons. PBO, other than V.I.P. Relocation, are not covered under additional valuation coverage unless the exterior of the cartons exhibits signs of mishandling.
