Our most important advertisement is word of mouth. Don’t believe us? Check our service record at the Better Business Bureau. Do not commit to any other MA moving company until you have contacted or received a free estimate from our helpful staff. We are licensed by the state (MDTE) and the federal government (DOT) to move you throughout Massachusetts, and throughout the entire United States.
Local move is a job conducted entirely within the state of Massachusetts. These moves are priced hourly, with a 2 to 3 hour minimum. The rate is determined by the number of trucks and movers needed for the job. We charge based on 15 minute increments, unlike most movers who round up to the hour. As outlined by MDTE guidelines we charge a flat fee for travel time (the time it takes for our crew to drive to your first pick up and to return from your final destination).Upon arrival, we will wrap the majority of your inventory in moving pads, thick quilted blankets, which are free. All our trucks are fully equipped with moving supplies including boxes, bubble wrap, mattress covers, shrink wrap, and tape which can be purchased upon request. We will also dissasmble and then reassamable furniture such as bed frames and dining room tables at no extra charge! Overnight and long term storage is available as needed.
You've probably heard of, or have experienced, a horrifying situation where the move ended up costing double or triple the original estimated price. In order to prevent this we request all DN Van Lines customers to take a few minutes to compile an accurate inventory list of the items you intend to move. Walk through your home and write down everything you have. Pay special attention to the number of boxes you may need. This attention to detail can make all the difference between an accurate price estimate and one that may underestimate the time of the move. When in doubt, it is often better to overestimate. We only charge you for time the we actually work, so if the move takes less than we estimated, you pay less!
Long distance interstate moves within the Northeast are our specialty. Most of the time we can guarantee same day or next day delivery. Unlike other long distance carriers, we do not unload your inventory into storage or subcontract your move to other companies. Your items will are loaded and unloaded once, preventing unnecessary damage. You can also count on the same crew who picked up your move to deliver it!
We provide you with a free in-home estimate, for all long distance moves of three bedrooms or more. At that time, we inventory your items and analyze your packing needs. We are fully qualified to move pianos, pool tables, and other large items across state lines. Whether you are going to rely on an over the phone estimate or an in-home estimate, take a few minutes to make an accurate, detailed list of the items you intend to move. This planning will help to avoid any pricing discrepancies at the end of the move. Many people tend to underestimate the cost of a move. We try to prevent this by going through a detailed check list.
